This past weekend we went to our first son's wedding. There are so many things we did. On Friday, I was invited to a lovely brunch. I can't remember the owner's names because I met so many people. The brunch was held at this person's home where the bride lived for a short while. The house was so beautiful and the food so delicious. They took me back to our hotel to get some much-needed rest before the rehearsal that night. Everything went smoothly there. We ended that with a supper at Golden Corral. The next morning, the wedding day, I had to get our things packed up before we left to go to the wedding since we were planning on leaving after we cleaned up. I was so nervous! I'm not exactly sure why I was nervous when our son seemed just fine. The ceremony was beautiful. I don't know of anything that went wrong. I didn't cry. I was afraid that I might. I only had a moment went my bottom lip started quivering. I was able to maintain my composure until I fell into another hotel bed. As I was remembering everything, the tears started to roll. They just wouldn't stop. I just let them flow. I needed to get it out. My hair and pillow were drenched, but I was able to relax and get some sleep afterwards. The drive home the next day was very long and exhausting. I was glad to get into my bed that night. I think I've got all my emotions out; I'm ready to move forward. I don't have any picture I can post except this one of the wedding cake. I may be able to get one posted later.
